‘I won’t go missing in Brussels’ says Gavan

Senator Paul Gavan.

THIS is the most important local and European elections for a generation. Now more than ever, Ireland needs strong representation in the European Parliament.

That’s according to Senator Paul Gavan, who is running in the upcoming EU elections.

Senator Gavan says his priorities “are the things that matter to you – affordable housing, access to healthcare, action on the cost of living, and securing better deals for our rural, farming, and coastal communities”.

“As part of a dedicated Sinn Féin team, I want to work to make sure that the European Union gets back to focusing on the needs of ordinary people. I’ve spent most of my adult life fighting to advance workers’ rights. I am passionate about helping to improve wages, conditions, and opportunities and, with your support, I will continue this work as an MEP.”

Mr Gavan says he believes in Ireland’s neutrality and will oppose any attempt to dismantle it, either by the Irish government or the EU Commission.

“These elections represent the first step in getting rid of this failed government. Together, we can choose a brighter future for everybody.  On June 7th, you will have an opportunity to elect Sinn Féin MEPs who will stand up for you, your family, and your community. MEPs who will stand up for Ireland,” he said.

“I’m asking for your No.1 vote. I will work hard for you every day. I won’t go missing in Brussels for five years, and I won’t let you down.”
