A FULL recount has been announced for City West at the count centre in the Limerick Racecourse.
As the returning officer took to the podium to announce the distribution of votes in the 11th count, he added that he had received a request for and is allowing a full recount of the votes.
He told those gathered in the count centre that the request had been made on behalf of Fine Gael candidate, Michael Mac Curtin.
The recount ia due to start at 8.30pm and is expected to take several hours.
