SIX Limerick organisations were announced as county finalists in the National Lottery Good Causes Awards.
Among the finalists are Irish Community Rapid Response CLG, which administers critical pre-hospital care to remote areas; Blue Box, which helps children and young people overcome emotional trauma; and the Family Resource Centre, empowering local communities to overcome local socio-economic challenges.
The three other finalists are the Irish Chamber Orchestra, Foynes Flying Boat and Maritime Museum, and Shannonside FC.
A total of €35,000 is to be awarded to the overall winner while the six remaining runners up will each receive €10,000.
