Newcastle West folk artist Paul Dunworth will launch his new EP at Red Door Gallery in Newcastle West this Saturday September 7 at 5pm. The EP is titled ‘The House Of Donn’ and concludes a trilogy of EP releases.
Paul reported that, “ ‘’Donn’’ is said to have been the God of the Dead who resided in Tech Duinn, The house of Donn or The house of the Dark one. As a Guardian of the Dead ‘’Donn’’ is depicted as overseeing the souls of the departed, ensuring their safe passage to the otherworld.”
The five tracks reflect on accepting time that passes in this life, overcoming mental health issues and a story from San Francisco’s Tenderloin district.
