Five GAA clubs benefit from CLÁR Funding

SEVERAL GAA clubs were among the recipients under the latest round of funding from CLÁR, a Government initiative which supports investment in rural projects across Ireland.

Those to receive significant financial support are Athea (€48,500), Ballylanders (€50,000),  Galtee Gaels (€44,500), Glenroe (€50,000) and Mountcollins (€50,000).

Other projects across Limerick to benefit are Killeedy Eco Park, Kilbehenny National School (NS), Glengurt NS, Cappamore Development Association, Anglesboro Community Centre, Ashford Hall Group and Kilfinane Community Projects.

The total funding for Limerick is €500,000.

“This funding will significantly improve the lives of people living in rural Ireland. It will allow for the upgrade local playgrounds, astro-turf pitches, running tracks as well as community centres and local halls,” commented local TD Niall Collins.
