UNIVERSITY of Limerick breezed past MTU Cork, 1-28 to 0-10, in the semi-final of the Fitzgibbon Cup Collegesโ€™ Hurling Championship at Mallow.

Brian Ryanโ€™s side now meet DCU, 1-20 to 1-16 semi-final victors over fancied UCC, in Saturdayโ€™s Final at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence in Bekan, 2.45pm.

On Tuesday, ULโ€™s cause was helped by an ill-disciplined Cork team who had two players red-carded in the first half.

Captain Colin Coughlan (Ballybrown) again impressed with four points for the winners, while also among a plethora of scorers were Doonโ€™s Adam English and Aidan Oโ€™Connor, Ballybrown.
