BALLYHOURA Development hosted three regional stakeholder meetings to explore the potential of digital transformation for rural communities in Ireland.
Participants included LeanBPI, the Milk Market, Ballyhoura Development, Cork County Council, and the Local Enterprise Office North and West.
One such meeting was held at Spruce and Willow in Ardpatrick, County Limerick, and saw participants from local businesses, community leaders, and tourism industry stakeholders discuss the role of digital tools in enhancing business operations, from managing websites to utilising artificial intelligence for customer engagement.
A significant concern raised was the lack of infrastructure, specifically unreliable Wi-Fi and broadband, which hinders many stakeholders from fully embracing digital solutions.
