NEWCASTLE West easily had the measure of Monaleen in the Limerick Senior Camogie final at Carroll Park, Ballyagran.

It represented a third title on the trot and a fifth in just seven years for The Magpies.

Rebecca Delee (0-5) of Newcastle West was the most outstanding player on show, while there were other fine scoring contributions from Kate Ambrose (0-9), Mia Smith (1-3) and Hazel Horgan.

In the B final, Adare toppled Killeedy.

Under the captaincy of Sarah Carey, Patrickswell were promoted to senior for next season following a fine win over Templeglantine in the Intermediate final.

In Ladies’ Football, Limerick winners St Aible’s are away to Moycarkery Borris (Tipperary) in the Munster Championship this weekend.

Patrick O’Connor of Clare, meanwhile, has been named as manager of the county senior team.
