
GARDAร seized more than half a million euros worth of cannabis at Shannon Airport this Wednesday (November 12).
A statement from the Garda Press Office this Wednesday evening confirmed that Gardaรญ arrested a man in his 20s following the seizure of around 30 kilogrammes of cannabis at Shannon Airport.
The seizure was made under a joint operation between An Garda Sรญochรกna and Revenue officers.
The statement said that โRevenue Customs officers seized approximately 30kg of cannabis, with an estimated value of โฌ600,000โ at the airport this Wednesday.

- Cavity Walls: Up to โฌ1,700 Grant
- Internal Dry Lining: Up to โฌ4,500 Grant
โThe man, aged in his 20s, who was arrested by Gardaรญ, is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda Station in the Clare-Tipperary Division,โ Gardaรญ said.
The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
Gardaรญ said that โinvestigations are ongoingโ.
