
€125,000 WORTH of cocaine has been seized by Limerick Gardaí today (Thursday, April 23) as part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs.
The Limerick Divisional Drugs unit carried out a search under a warrant at a domestic residence in St Mary’s Park.
During the course of the search, Gardaí recovered suspected cocaine to the estimated street value of €125,000 along with a small quantity of suspected cannabis and prescription tablets.
A male in his 30s was arrested and taken to a Garda Station in Limerick city.
He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
All drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
