A WRITER with long Limerick connections is set to launch a gripping new memoir.
Kilkenny native Seosamh Ó Cuinneagáin, long settled in Limerick, will release Berlin Divided on Tuesday May 26.
The story details his lifelong fascination with Germany, rooted in childhood stories from Somme veteran Paddy Stapleton, that let him to study German at UCC and spend two decades of summers in Berlin.
The book provides a first-hand account of Cold War Berlin, drawing on lived experience, scholarship, and rare personal encounters.
