THE LIMERICK Intermediate club hurling championship returns this weekend with its fourth round of action.
In group 1, table toppers Pallasgreen (5 points) face Newcastlewest in a tie which could shape the race for a Premier Intermediate Championship place. Second in the table, also on 5 points, are Hospital Herbertstown. They face the amalgamated side of Claughaun/ Old Christians who themselves remain in the hunt for a play off spot.
In group 2, unbeaten Glenroe face second placed Dromin/Athlaca in what is surely the tie of the weekend.
With Pallaskenry facing Drom/Broadford, both groups’ play off picture should be more clear following round 4.
In other news, the Senior and Premier Intermediate championships return on the weekend of August 18-21.
