Awards a real trip for Bunratty

-

EVEN on Christmas Day, dedicated staff at Bunratty Castle and Folk Park come to work to feed the park’s animals.

That’s the kind of dedication and attention to detail that drives everyone involved n the venture and which has earned the historic visitor attraction two Certificates of Excellence from TripAdvisor.

The first certificate has been awarded in recognition of Bunratty Castle and Folk Park as a Day Visitor Attraction, while the second Certificate of excellence is for the Bunratty Castle Medieval Banquet.

Since 2011, the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence has been honouring businesses that consistently deliver the highest standard of service across the world and that have achieved great reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year.

A trip to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park gives visitors the chance to experience a window into Ireland’s past and learn all about the history of the 15th-century castle.

Bunratty Folk Park is set on 26 acres that gives visitors a chance to see what life was like in 19th century Ireland by recreating a ‘living’ village and rural setting. Visitors can walk around the town, taking a look at the farmhouses, village shops, the school, doctor’s house, pawnbrokers, the pub, drapery, print works, and much much more.

The unique Bunratty Castle Medieval Banquet allows diners to experience a four-course meal just as lords of old did in the historic castle,  while being entertained by the world famous Bunratty Castle singers. Guests are welcomed on arrival by the Earl’s Butler before sitting down to some excellent food, fine wine and honey mead, while taking in the magnificent surroundings.

Niall O’Callaghan, Managing Director of Shannon Group’s tourism company, Shannon Heritage said: “We are delighted that Bunratty Castle and Folk Park and our medieval banquet operation have been awarded Certificates of Excellence from TripAdvisor. This is a great recognition of the excellent work the team has done to make the Bunratty the fantastic tourism attraction that it is today.”
