Kiely issues Limerick injuries update

Cian Lynch should be back to full fitness in a couple of weeks.

LIMERICK manager John Kiely has issued an update on injuries picked-up by Seán Finn and Cian Lynch in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship loss to Clare at the Gaelic Grounds.

The more serious injury is that sustained by Finn.

Explained Kiely: “Seán has gone for a scan, so hopefully we’ll have a clearer picture there in the coming days. Initial indications are that hopefully it is not too bad, but we won’t know for certain until we have the scan results.”

He added: “Cian has a minor hamstring injury, should be no more than a week or so.”

He was speaking at the launch of The Dillon Quirke Foundation fundraising drive, in association with The Circet All-Ireland GAA Golf Challenge.
