Court heard from the accused’s solicitor that an address had been obtained from Mr Igboanusi for his family in Cork, and sought that the matter be put back for inquiries to be made with his family, and for directions to be received from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Mr Igboanusi’s solicitor Sarah Ryan said that an application for bail would be made at another sitting of the District Court Tuesday.

Mr Igboanusi appeared in court in person before Judge Harney for the short hearing.

Judge Harney further remanded Mr Igboanusi in custody to appear before the court again on Tuesday (February 20).
