Man hospitalised after collision near Limerick Clare border

The crash happened yesterday (Monday) at Barry's Cross.

GARDAร today (Tuesday) confirmedย  they were investigating the circumstances of a two-car collision on Monday evening (August 26) in which a man in his 60s was injured.

Gardaรญ said that they, along with other emergency services, attended the scene of โ€œa two car road traffic collisionโ€ at R463, Ardnacrusha, south east county Clare at approximately 6pm on Monday evening.

โ€œA man (60s) was taken to University Hospital Limerick with non-life threatening injuries. The road has been cleared,โ€ a Garda spokesman said

โ€œInvestigations are ongoing,โ€ he added.

Gardaรญ closed off the R463 between Ardnacrusha and Parteen following the collision on approach to a local area known as Barryโ€™s Cross.

Limerick City and County Fire and Rescue Service and HSE paramedics also attended the scene.
