Transport tech firm Tranzaura opens new Limerick office

TRANSPORT tech firm Tranzaura has opened a new office in the heart of Limerick City.

The firm was founded in 2010 in Limerick and has grown to provide fleet management and intelligence services for companies across the world in Ireland, the UK, Europe, and Australia.

65 per cent of red buses in London use the firm’s real-time fleet software, with other clients including Irish Rail, DS Sioth, and Yorkshire Water.

The firm opened its new offices in Limerick City, which is says will act as a central hub to support its expanding EU and international customer base. As part of the expansion, the Limerick-founded firm projects that its staff numbers will double over the next 18 months.

Tranzaura’s new hub will be based on Pery Square in the middle of Limerick City’s Georgian Quarter. It was officially opened by Limerick TD and Minister of State Niall Collins and interim chair of Limerick Twenty Thirty, James Collins.

Tranzaura said the new Shannonside office is “is part of a broader strategic plan to double its workforce over the next 18 months, with a particular focus on hiring across all divisions of the business from product development and customer success to engineering and sales”.

Tranzaura CEO Shane Mann said the new Limerick office “represents much more than just a change in location – it’s a clear signal of where Tranzaura is headed”.

“We want to grow our headcount by a minimum of 50 per cent this year and have more than 40 employees in the company by this time in 2026.”

Opening the new office, Deputy Niall Collins said that “Tranzaura is a great example of a homegrown Limerick company that is not only thriving locally but also competing and innovating on a global stage”.

“Their continued growth and success underline the remarkable talent and entrepreneurial spirit that exists here in the Mid West region.”
