
LIMERICK Cricket Club (LCC) acquitted themselves well when they looked to make it two wins from the three in the Premier League in a tricky tie away to Midleton.
A valiant effort with the bat, chasing a score of over 300, came just short, with skipper Anvesh Bogavelly scoring his third century in LCC colours and leading by example in what was a valiant effort from his side.

The other senior game saw Limerick’s 3rd XI unlucky not to finish out against Cork Harlequins at the Manor Fields in Adare, with the tie abandoned due to inclement weather in just the seventh over of the second innings.
The remaining match of the weekend saw Limerick’s U15 side enjoy a sizable victory in Farmer’s Cross against Cork Harlequins, kickstarting their campaign with maximum points in this Super League encounter.
The Shannonsiders were led out by Ghufran Chaudhry, and the team also comprised Muhammed Aziz, Abubakar Aziz, Arham Ullah, Robert McCutcheon, Behroz Khan, Yousaf Ramay, Riyah Shah, Muhammad Raheem, Muhammad Ibrahim and Arnav Raishrankar.
