John Hardiman and fellow Castleconnell Tidy Town members pictured at the launch of Team Limerick Clean-Up 5 in Castleconnell, Co. Limerick. Taking place this Good Friday, April 19th, the initiative sees thousands of volunteers take to the streets of Limerick city and county each year for Europe's largest one-day clean up. Sponsored by the JP McManus Benevolent Fund, the event has seen over 360 tonnes of litter gathered from the streets since inception in 2015. Overall participation figures have passed the 60,000-mark and included over 550 volunteer groups from every town in Limerick last year. . Picture: Alan Place
