The Tan Jackets & Sista Bossen bring classic rock n’ roll and explosive party-grunge-punk

The Tan Jackets & Sista Bossen play a co-headliner show on Friday September 29 at Pharmacia (Tan Jackets will play a rock 'n' roll dj set afterwards until late.)

THE Tan Jackets play rock ‘n’ roll music and have been kicking out the jams in style since about 2014. They have just released their first original recording, a surf rock instrumental called ‘Brain Ghost’ on a double A Side with a cover of an Ivor Cutler tune called ‘Pickle Your Knees’.

The Cork City band has played a mixture of rock n’ roll, R&B, and punk rock covers (Them, The Sonics, MC5 and more) at parties, clubs, and venues all around Ireland for nearly a decade.

The Tan Jackets are: Dan Walsh (Fixity), Cathal Mac Gabhann (The Altered Hours), Caoilian Sherlock (The Shaker Hymn) and Solamh Kelly (Myles Manley/Maija Sofia).

The band tells us that it has been claimed that they “inspire audiences to have just a little bit too much fun, while doing all of their favourite dances.”

“It is now time for you to make an informed opinion about why in the world you wouldn’t go and enjoy the music the first chance you get.”
